National Bulletin With Les Parkinson

National Bulletin 8

Get your bids in

I had just opened the BHW on Thursday 11th March to look at the latest news and the phone rang, “Les I want to put a bid in on a couple of pigeons in the sale”. I was quite surprised to receive a call so early in the morning, obviously a keen fancier who wanted to be out of the

blocks early and no doubt with such reactions will be quick out of the blocks when racing commences. I have included a photo of the Blue Hen that was 2nd sec 36th Open Saintes 2003 NFC and is the dam to Derek Lawton’s donation to the club’s young bird sale being held this Sunday at the Lostock Social Club Northwich. This is the first of two sales to raise funds for the future development of the National FC. If you want to phone on the day you can call Kim on 07763 281343 who will take your bids over the phone.

Logo

We are looking for a logo and a slogan to suit the National FC to go on these notes or in fact anywhere that it is required with the NFC. Why not submit you ideas and the winner will receive a year’s free subscription to the NFC. An example would be a Union Jack with a pigeon flying past and underneath the words “Unity is strength” this is one idea already thought up by a member, anyone with other or better ideas that will be greatly appreciated. The closing date will be the 30th April 2004 so that we can start to use the logo in the coming season.
