Before going on to what is coming up I must pass comment on last weeks notes and in particular towards the end where our secretary Sid wrote, “I personally feel that Snowy had a lapse of concentration here” this may not make sense to anyone who does not use the web site. There were comments in Latin that were deleted from the script, which is why it may not sound correct.
The start of the NFC racing is getting close and we are just three weeks away from the Nantes race and no doubt members are now preparing their birds. There are probably also many members thinking to themselves “Am I on the right system, do we need to make any changes”. There is still time but not much to make those final decisions that will make or break your National season. The Racing Pigeon sponsored car is always a good bet and one that gives all distances a chance of getting a draw from the pot, the three bands give a good chance and make it a good bet.
The club has had its problems and I think that we should now rise up and support the Country’s Premier club in a new season. What
has gone on in the winter months when people have little else to do is now in the past. Anyone who does anything is going to tread on someone’s toes at sometime or another; they are still intact so let’s get on with the new season. Let us all make sure that this years winners are highlighted in the best possible way after all as I said earlier we are the Premier club.
Sid informs me that the posting of stationary is now getting towards completion and if the post is anything to go by someone somewhere will fail to see the first draft drop through the door. The number of letters lost is incredible and as secretary of the NWCC I know what a problem it causes and how many extra sets I have had to send out to members, I wonder how many requests Sid & Karen will get.
