Nick Adshead wins the £500.00 North Section Nom, He is also 1st Section K

Nick fly's  376 miles to our 1st race from Fougeres, to most this would be a
mid to long distance race but Nick has no problem often getting a batch of
birds together from these races. He's no stranger to being at the top he was
1st Section K from the Carenton Young Bird National last year and he tops
Section K from our 1st race from Fougeres.
His winner is a yearling cock, the father is a direct Burgwaad X Peter VD Merwe
this bird is the nest mate to last years Section winner from the Carentan Young
Bird National
Nick is giving a young bird direct off this fabulous yearling for The Croddy Nom
Auction later in the year, so if you want to make a bid just give me a call and
we will keep your bid for the Auction.

Mike Staddon  tops The South Section taking the £500.00 Nom his winner is
also 2nd  Section C in The National Open result.
The Croddy Nom winner is a real class 2 year old hen who is no stranger to
to winning, she was bred from Mike's Sheldon Lenard X Ron Williamson Lines.
All Mikes birds (cocks and hens) are raced on pure widowhood
Once again  Mike will be donating a bird direct of this Croddy Nom winner for
The Auction. So give me a call.

For a bit of fun we will be putting a tip in each write-up. Angela and myself have managed to win 200+ 1st and we think some of these tips just might help others flyers to
do the same
Before we go into the tips you must start with the right ingredients: Good Stock; Dry Loft (not overcrowded  7sq feet per bird, so a 16x6ft loft will house approximately 14
Birds) Good Ventilation; Be willing to put time into their birds
This weeks tip
If you feed in pots in their boxes and use a corn tin to call your birds in, do not use the same corn out of the tin to feed them, as the small grains in the mix goes to the
bottom of the tin, then when you come to feed your birds they will get an uneven mix of corn. A much better way is while the birds are out flying put the corn in the pots,
then remove any corn in the corn tin and replace it with peanuts (human quality) call the birds in with this and once they have eaten the corn give each bird 3 or 4 penuts.
they go mad for them and you get great trappings.
It's not to late to join The Croddy Nom just give us a call.
