The annual general meeting of the National Flying Club will be held at

Propositions for Season 2007
Please note General Rule 13 which states, “The committee can indicate on the ballot paper a preference for any particular outcome of any of the proposals submitted by the general membership if the committee considers that a resolution would cause serious adverse and fundamental problems or would be favourable, advantageous and in the best interests of the club”.
Resolutions have been received from the following :-
Holmes & Sealey, MORETON-IN-MARSH, K Haines, FROME, will propose:
1) General Rule 4. Delete “£15.00” and replace with, “£18.00”.
M. McGrevy & Co. GOLDTHORPE, will propose:
2) General Rule 4. Delete “£15.00” and replace with, “£20.00”. The remainder of the rule to remain the same.
Committee Note! The committee find this proposition favourable.
E. Milner & Son, HIGH PEAK, will propose:
3) General Rule 4. Delete first paragraph and replace with, “Fanciers wishing to join the club shall pay an entrance fee of £5.00. Members annual subscription shall be £50.00. Metal rings sold in multiples of ten at £3.00 for each ten. All orders to include £1.50 postage and packing. All members must pay their fees before April 1st each year”.
L Henley, KINGSTEIGNTON, will propose:
4) General Rule 5. After the word “quorum”, delete the rest of the rule.

Sharman & Kneller, CAMBRIDGE, will propose:
5) Delete General Rule 12.

7) Delete General Rule 29. New rule to read: - “All competitors will be charged a fee of £1.00 in all NFC races to help offset markers wages and hire of venues. This fee to be paid with entries on Part A.

K. & B. Mott, ESHER, will propose:
8) Racing Rule 1. Add to end of rule, “but in the event of the National Flying Club not being able to race from race points over the English Channel, the committee will form a secondary race programme of race points on the North road. If any such ban on Continental racing is lifted, then the club will revert back to the original South road programme.
Committee Note! The committee feel that this proposition is not in the interest of the club.
M Hughes & Son, ROCHDALE, will propose: -
9) Racing rule 1. Delete in its entirety and replace with, “The race programme will be decided by the membership of the National Flying Club and not by the committee of management.
(a) The first race to be the St Nazaire National.
(b) The the second shall be the Tarbes Grand National.
(c) The third race shall be the Dax National run in conjunction with the Dax International.
(d) The forth race shall be the Saintes National.
(e) The fifth race shall be the Fougeres Young Bird National to run in conjunction with the Old Hens
National race.
(f) If a race point becomes unsuitable for any reason, then the management committee shall change that race point to the closest race point to that preferred by the general membership.
(g) In the event that the National flying club shall not be allowed to race over the
English Channel, the committee will form a secondary programme on the north road and in that case the National Flying Club shall stick to that programme throughout the season or until such time that the club is again allowed to fly the channel programme.
Committee Note! The committee feel that this proposition is not in the interest of the club.
D Housden & Son, BIGGLESWADE, will propose:
10) Racing Rule 5. Delete £5 and insert £1
Committee Note! The committee feel that this proposition would be detrimental to the club.
A. E. Shepherd, WOODMANCOTE, will propose:
11) Delete Racing Rule 7 (b) and insert new Racing Rule 7 (b), “The N.F.C. adopt the R.P.R.A. system of Hours of Darkness.”
D Housden & Son, BIGGLESWADE, will propose:
12) Racing Rule 10 a delete. New Rule 10 a, “Birds to be marked at the listed marking stations and must arrive 1 hour prior to closing times stated in this book. Late birds will be refused and all entry fees forfeited.

13) Racing Rule 16. Delete, “8 days prior to marking” and insert, “3 days prior to marking”.

17) Racing Rule 23. Add the following words to the end of the rule, “which will be published in the Racing Pigeon, British Homing World and on the N.F.C. website”.

18) Racing Rule 32. After the word, “members”, insert “under the direction of the N.F.C. President.
