RACING PIGEON NANTES NATIONAL RACE

Incorporating The Versele-Laga Yearling Championship

SATURDAY, 7th JUNE, 2003

Race Marking on Thursday, 5th June, 2003.at :- 

  • Crewe LMR Sports Club, Goddard St - Open from 7:30am to 11:00am

  • Frome Market -Open from 10:00am to 14:00pm

  • West Farnborough Social Club, 25 St. Christophers Rd, Hants Open from 7:30am to 12:30pm

  • Owlerton Greyhound Stadium Sheffield, Open from 7:30am to 9:30am

  • Shelford Rugby Club, Cambridge Road, Cambs Open from 8:00am to 12:00am

  • Exeter, Open from 8:00am to 11:00am

  • Horndean Football Club, Five Heads Road, Horndean, Hants Open from 11:45am to 15:30am

All birds must arrive strictly by these times.

Entries unlimited at £3.50 per bird

A car nomination with a second prize of £500 is to be run in conjunction with the Nantes race.
The car guaranteed by Racing Pigeon Publishing Co. Ltd.
The basis of this competition is as follows:-
A. Members are banded on distances flown as follows:-
(1) up to 320miles
(2) 320 miles to 400 miles
(3) 400 miles and over.
B. The highest placed nominated entry to win the car.
C. The next highest placed nominated entry from the other bands to receive £500.
(No band can receive more than one prize.)
Unlimited entries at £4 each.

Presented by Messrs. Bowman Ltd. for the 2nd Open Winner.

For the 3rd Open Winner.

The Preston Jones Trophy

For the first bird in Gloucestershire, presented by J. Preston Jones, Esq.

The L.C. Shannon & Son Trophy

For the first bird in Cornwall, presented by L.C. Shannon & Son, Penzance.

L. Bamforth Memorial Trophy

For the first bird in County of Yorkshire.

The R.H. Christopher Memorial Trophy

For the Winner of Section C.

The D.E. Cox Memorial Trophy

For the Winner of Section E.

The Antingham Memorial Trophy

For the first bird in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

The E.C.C. International Trophy

For the Highest Recorded Velocity from Nantes N.F.C into Devon.
