THE GEORGE BUCKTON FALAISE YOUNG BIRD NATIONAL RACE

SATURDAY, 6th SEPTEMBER , 2003

Race Marking on Thursday, 4th September, 2003.at :- 

  • Crewe LMR Sports Club, Goddard St - Open from 7:30am to 11:00am

  • Frome Market -Open from 10:00am to 14:00am

  • West Farnborough Social Club, 25 St. Christophers Rd, Hants Open from 7:30am to 12:30pm

  • Owlerton Greyhound Stadium Sheffield, Open from 7:30am to 9:30am

  • Shelford Rugby Club, Cambridge Road, Cambs Open from 8:00am to 12:00am

  • Exeter, Open from 8:00am to 11:00am

  • Horndean Football Club, Five Heads Road, Horndean, Hants Open from 11:45am to 15:30am

All birds must arrive strictly by these times.

Entries unlimited at £3.00 per bird

A nomination (Z) with three prizes of £1,000, £500  and £500 is to be run in conjunction with this race with unlimited entries. Also a nomination (Y) at £1 per bird for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize of a Junior T3 computer clock. Unlimited entries.
The basis of these competition are as follows:
A. Members are banded on distances flown as follows:-
(1) up to 150 miles
(2) 150 - 250 miles
(3) 250 miles and over.
B. The highest placed nominated entry to win the £1,000 and/or aT3 clock.
C. The next highest placed nominated entry from the other two bands to receive £500 and/or aT3 clock.
D. The highest placed nominated entry in the remaining band also receives £500 and/or aT3 clock.
(No band can receive more than one prize.)
Unlimited entries at £4 each.
1st Prize

Cup presented by the Society

To be held for a year by the winner.
2nd Prize

Cup presented by E.A. Braithwaite, Esq.

To be held for a year by the winner.

The Somerset Cup

Presented to the first bird in Somerset, to be held for a year by the winner.

P. J. Thomas Trophy

Presented to the first bird in Cornwall.

The Guy Barrett Perpetual Trophy

For the winner of Section K in the Y.B. National.

The J. L. Roberts Trophy

For the winner of Section L

The Reg Phillips Memorial Trophy

For the winner of 8th Open.

The Arthur & Winifred Rawson Trophy

For the first bird in Derbyshire.

The Tony Pouralli & Son Memorial Trophy

For the best bird in Hampshire.
