The National Flying Club £5 Super Raffle

Young Bird From George - 1st Grand National Tarbes

Once again the National Fying Club are very fortunate in having a superb bred young bird for the £5 Super Raffle.  Geoff and Catherine Cooper have donated a young bird from their Champion George who has won amongst many other top prizes 1st Grand National Tarbes. He won the race with the fastest ever velocity fom Tarbes/Pau in the clubs history
These are the fast long distance pigeons that are so rare, they win from 50 miles right through to 650 miles and they are not finished at three or four years old, they go on winning right up to seven years of age.  JW won  Falaise National at five years of age and Flipper won 86th International Perpignan at seven years of age.
If you would like a chance of owning a bird with winning genes through every generation of his pedigree then get your £5's out and either send a cheque made payable to the NFC for the number of tickets required to G. Cooper, Dove Dale, Huddox Hill, Peasedown St John, Bath, BA2 8EA, or form an orderly queue at the Poitiers NFC marking stations where the tickets will be on sale.
Remember, all the money raised from these raffles is going to the Tarbes Grand National / International prize fund, so by taking part, not only will you have the chance of winning a top bird, you will be increasing your chances of winning some decent prize money.
The raffle finishes on the day of marking the Poitiers birds so if you want a chance to win and you can't get to the marking station, you know where to send your money.
The raffle of a bird kindly donated by top flyer Mark Gilbert was won by Mr Ken Parkinson from Wigan, sold at the Crewe marking station, thanks to all who are doing a great job selling tickets.
